I am a fourth year Electrical Engineering (Honours) student at UniSA. In my project previously collected EEG data on an old-new memory task will be assessed to determine the particpants' functional connectivity. I will investigate whether measures of connectivity predict cognitive function of the elderly participants over time.

I am a fourth year Cognitive Neuroscience student undertaking my honours at CAIN. I will be investigating EEG predictors of post-operative delirium in patients undergoing one of two cardiac surgeries: coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI)

For my Honours thesis I will be investigating the effects of acute aerobic exercise on prefrontal cortical connectivity (using TMS-EEG) and cognitive control in healthy young adults

I am a fourth year Psychology (Honours) student at UniSA. For my project I am excited to research how well skills learned in virtual reality can translate to the real world. My participants will be assessed on their skills playing table tennis. Through the use of virtual reality, each participant will undergo a series of table tennis training sessions. Then, we will reassess their performance in the real world.

I am a fourth year Psychology (Honours) student at UniSA. I have previously worked with CAIN during a Vacation Scholarship, conducting a scoping review to investigate what makes a 'Dementia Friendly Community'. My Honours research project is investigating dementia risk factor knowledge in the general Australian population and how/why this knowledge has been obtained. The aim of this research is to add to the current literature in measuring what knowledge Australian's hold regarding dementia risk factors and extending it by investigating how and why people develop their knowledge of dementia risk factors.

I am a fourth year Psychology (Honours) student at the University of South Australia. For my project I am looking at the relationship between eye movements and spatial neglect and the potential for eye-tracking glasses to be used in the assessment of spatial neglect.

I am investigating the effects of physical fatigue on spatial attention. Past research has shown that mental fatigue results in a rightward shift in spatial attention. Thus, we have hypothesised that physically induced fatigue will produce the same rightward shift in spatial attention, and therefore one will neglect their left field of attention.

I am investigating the role of depressive disorders and other psychosocial factors in the aetiology of Cardiovascular Disease.  I am interested in how psychological and biological systems interact and effect health.  I am conducting this research at SAHMRI with the assistance of Dr. Hannah Keage.

I am examining associations between cerebrovascular function and cognitive performance in people with Parkinson’s disease. Previous research has indicated that non-motor symptoms in Parkinson’s disease including cognitive impairment can have a greater impact on quality of life than the more commonly known motor symptoms. I am interested in learning about mechanisms that lead to cognitive impairment and dementia in Parkinson’s disease.

The study I am currently conducting looks at the effects of physical fatigue on spatial attention. The study is also testing whether physical fatigue, due to exercise, will cause a narrowing of attention, or a “tunnel vision” in participants.

I am working with stroke patient data at Guide Dogs SA/NT.  I am investigating the sensitivity of different neuropsychological tests to predict spatial neglect behaviour, a common consequence of stroke.

I am currently researching how people process small and large magnitudes – specifically, how they spatially map risk judgements. My research involves measuring risk associations from both an objective and subjective perspective.

My current research involves investigating evidence of Cognitive Reserve in resting state electroencephalography (EEG). While Cognitive reserve is applicable to a wide variety of cognitive impairments, my specific research is looking for evidence of cognitive reserve within resting state EEG’s of the elderly population.

I am investigating the role of reading direction in shaping visuo-spatial perception and numerical representation. More specifically, I am interested in the flexibility of these systems, and whether long-term ‘spatial biases’ proposed to partly derive from continual use and/or exposure to a particular reading-writing direction, can change in response to brief exposure to mirror-reversed text.
